Importance of learning electrical engineering basics

Haiii friends....Switchgear is basically an electro- mechanical device.Knowledge in both electrical and mechanical engineering is very important in switchgear industry.As i am an electrial engineer, i will first focus on basics of electrical engineering.So i will be posting some basics of electrical technology in this blog.After that i will focus more on switchgears.Hope this will help the readers of my blog to better understand switchgears.
